Kate: So, Jill, we're in the sort of after-Christmas, after-New Year's aftermath of everything, and I've found some really good sales lately. Have you been out doing any post-Christmas sale shopping?
Jill: I have done a little, not a lot. I've found that I'm quite-I find that I'm quite shopped-out, actually, after Christmas. I spend a lot of time during the month of December shopping, and I love to shop. Some would say I'm addicted to shopping, so for me to say- Kate: Shopaholic. Jill: Shopaholic, exactly. So for me to say I'm shopped out is a very rare occurrence. So I've done a little bit, but most days I found it was busy, and I would just kind of leave. I just wasn't in the mood, but I've noticed that places like The Gap and Old Navy are generally pretty inexpensive to begin with, and always have great sales, have had amazing sales on, so I have picked up a few inexpensive items and it always makes my day when I can find something cute that's inexpensive. And you have to be that way when you love to shop as much as me, because I'd be completely broke if I shopped at all the expensive stores, because I shop on a regular basis. Kate: It sounds like you're almost a recreational shopper. Jill: I should get paid for it!
Kate: You could-you know what? As sort of a second career, a personal shopper. We were talking about that earlier, that it's nice to go to some of these big stores, because they have racks and racks and racks and racks of things, and you can get a pink T-shirt with short sleeves, with long sleeves, with scoopneck, with v-neck; you can get it in any size and they're only $15 or $12.99 or something. That's one thing, but for an important piece, it's really nice to go to a smaller store where they know you or they can at least look at you for three minutes and figure out what you wear, what your size is, what your style might be. So I was pretty pleased with my Christmas shopping, my Christmas gifts, and then Christmas post-shopping for myself-Merry Christmas to me. I picked up some really good pieces at decent prices, and then I did hit a few 50% sales and picked up some smaller, cute pieces that will fill in the gaps. Although, I didn't find anything at The Gap, and Old Navy scared me. It was too big, and too messy, and I couldn't tell who was shopping, who was picking up, and who was working there. I really couldn't. They all kind of looked the same. But I have found a few of the accessory stores have great sales, and I got some very funky stuff.
Jill: Oh, I haven't noticed any of those. I should keep my eyes open.
