As another year draws to a close it gives us a chance to reflect on The Linguist in 2005 and to look forward to what 2006 will bring. We have made many changes over the past year, some of them big and many of them small. We will continue to keep making changes leading up to the launch of our new version in mid-2006. As always we ask for and look forward to receiving your feedback and input in to how we can improve our system.
With regard to our system itself, one area that we have been excited about recently is the Pronunciation training and analysis service provided by our pronunciation doctor, Kerri. Those members who have tried this service rave about it and it is really an excellent addition to our program. Again, those of you who are interested should contact Jill for full details and to arrange for this service. You will be able to submit a pronunciation sample just like you submit a writing sample. Then Kerri will analyze your pronunciation and send you back a report. You can then discuss your results with Kerri on a 1 on 1 Conversation. Try it for a month! You won't be disappointed. More importantly, now is a good time to say thank you to all of you, our Linguist Members! Thank you for your continued membership and support. Thank you for working so hard at your studies. And lastly, thank you for your enthusiastic participation in all the activities of the Linguist Community. When we see your hard work and interact with you on the community, it makes us realize what a great thing we have at The Linguist both in terms of our method and in terms of the community we are building together. Here's to 2006 in which all aspects of The Linguist will be even better! Finally, I just want to thank everyone who responded to our recent survey. It was interesting to see that what attracted you most to The Linguist were the desire to achieve English fluency and the desire to learn to write and speak English, naturally. These are precisely the things that you will find with us and which you won't find at most other sites, schools and systems. The Linguist enables you to learn to write and speak fluent English, naturally!
