Vera's Diary for Beginners, VD # 008, Drinking coffee

VD # 008, Drinking coffee Yesterday my sister visited me. My sister visits me often.

I always make a cup of coffee.

We drink coffee and talk.

That is probably pretty typically German, because that's why there's even a word for it. We call it a coffee party.

At a coffee party people tell each other what's new. I talk about my daughter.

My sister talks about her work.

She asks about the new neighbors.

Unfortunately, I still know nothing about the new neighbors.

I have not spoken with them.

We also make plans for the future.

We want to go out to eat with our mother.

We invited her out.

On Mother's Day she was not home. That is why we're going to dinner with her next week. There is a great buffet at a good restaurant.

There is a buffet with asparagus and strawberries.

We all love to eat it!

I'm looking forward to it. Text translated and recorded by David Martin (DavidMartin). Copyright Vera Ihrig.
