Vera's Diary for Beginners, VD # 021, Paris, second Day

VD # 021, Paris, the second Day On our second day in Paris we slept until half past nine. The breakfast in the hotel was very good.

There was something suitable for everyone.

Then we drove to the castle of Versailles.

There was a long line at the cash register.

Many people wanted to buy tickets.

We already had a ticket and did not have to wait in line.

We borrowed an audio guide.

Then we visited the castle.

There were lots of pictures hanging on the walls.

The palace was very magnificent.

We were impressed.

The park of Versailles is very large.

There are two smaller castles.

We also visited those castles.

We walked a lot that day.

Consequently, we relaxed a bit at the hotel.

In the evening we went to a French restaurant.

We ate a delicious meal.

Eating out in Paris is quite expensive.

But we found it very tasty.

Note: The past tense is used here.
