An Interview With Julianne

Annette – Hello! My name is Annette and today I'd like to introduce you to my sister, Julianne. Julianne – Hello! Thank you for inviting me.

A – No problem! First of all, would you tell us a bit about yourself?

J – Well, I'm 22 years old, and I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I work part-time as a lifeguard and I'm finishing my fourth year of university. A – What are you studying in university?

J – I'm doing my undergraduate degree in physical education. A – So, you must be very fit, then.

J – Only compared to some. We spend a lot of time studying and not very much time running around.

A – Oh that's too bad. So what do you do in your spare time?

J – I play video games… and spend time with my family. It's sad that I mention my video games before my family. A – But do you play video games with your family?

J – Yes!

A – Well then, it's okay. J – Thank you.

A – So, do you like to travel?

J – Yes, I like to travel. I wish I could travel more. I would like to explore Europe and Central America and Africa… A – Anywhere else? J – Australia and Iceland… A – Okay, okay. So you like to travel. Where is your favorite place that you have already been?

J – Brazil.

A – And what do you like about Brazil?

J – I especially liked Iguaçu falls because of the contrast between the reddish water and the lush green vegetation.

A – Sounds really interesting! Now I want to go!

J – You should!

A – So you work as a lifeguard. Do you like your job?

J – Most of the time I love my job.

A – What do you like about your job?

J – I like the people I work with and also the people who come to swim. They're all very nice. A – You must be a people person.

J – That I am.

A – So, what kind of responsibilities does your job involve?

J – I lifeguard, clean, and do water tests.

A – Wow, sounds like quite a job.

J – Yeah, I actually should get going. I'm supposed to be at work in half an hour. A – Okay, I'll let you go, then. Thanks for the chat.

J – You're welcome, see you later! A – See you!
