tdes, English Café, Babysitting Ad To Punish Daughter, ...

Hi, I'm Sarah, welcome to The Daily English Show. Today I've been checking out a site called English Café. This is a site for English learners where you can do things like take quizzes and do lessons. I decided to make a quiz to go with Saturday's show which was on irregular verbs. I think this could be really useful if you're studying irregular verbs, because, of course, the verb forms are more likely to stick in your mind if you watch the video and do some exercises, than if you just watch the video. So if you need some practice with those irregular verbs, then please go and try that quiz … and tell me if you found it useful. I'd love to hear your feedback. I'm thinking of doing quizzes like this – which test what you've learnt on the show - more regularly, so please tell me what you think. STICK NEWS Kia ora this is Stick News. A man in the United States punished his daughter by putting an ad in the newspaper offering her babysitting services for free. A 16-year-old girl in Texas missed her curfew. To punish her, her father took out an ad in a community newspaper offering her babysitting services for free. The ad offered 30 hours free babysitting. The Dad says he wanted to discipline his daughter and help others at the same time. And that was Stick News for Monday the 23rd of August.Kia ora.
